She married Joseph Gilmour on 8 July 1797 in Fenwick, Ayrshire, Scotland \cite{MBClarkMarriage} and their marriage is written in the parish records as ``Joseph Gilmour in Parish of Kilmarnock and Mary Clark in this Parish gave up their names for Proclamation in order to Marriage said day''). They had seven children (see page \pageref{Joseph_Gilmour}).

She died before 1870 in Hurlford, Ayrshire.\cite{JosephGilmourDeath}
